Van Hiseville Substation Improvements
The Hillis group was contracted to make improvements to a electrical substation in New Jersey. The scope of work performed by the team included demolition and removal of an existing bank, a transformer foundation, and several piers. The team used Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) to survey excavation areas for the purpose of safely excavating conduits that needed to be re-routed and successfully excavate, form, and pour 3 concrete transformer foundations, 5 piers, install a transformer oil containment polyvinyl liner system as well as a manhole. At project completion all gravel surfaces were completely restored.
